Alexander Ketele was born in Etterbeek, Belgium in 1954 and
currently lives and works in Ternat, near Brussels in Belgium.
Since 1980, he is fascinated by the changing interaction
between space, matter and motion. He mostly combines different materials,
thereby eliminating the dominance of the base material within his works. Tension
takes shape, the play of reflection and absorption appears. This quest leads him
to a number of themes:
The Strength of the matter, the matters' dialogue makes the
image powerful
The Dynamics of shape, the dynamics of the form beyond the
inertia of matter
Water as a connection between matter and life, water is the
dynamic force between matter and life.
An investigation into the intriguing aspects of water,
surpassing the matter
The memory of form, we are surrounded by interesting images.
It is up to us to see them.
He researches the boundary between form and image.
The Tactile exploration as the tactile extra dimension
